Apologies

Monday, October 30th, 2006

Having made a mistake, one must realize and then make amends.

One hard thing to do is to ask for an apology. People tend to forgive but not forget what others have done to them.

After the process of apologizing, usually a relationship will seem to get better than before. But when another problem occurs, it will be worse than before too, since the past mistakes haven’t been forgotten.

Of course, it’s hard to forget hurtful things people have done to us. But, being nice and simple is fun too. It’s good for our health too.

On the other hand, we often forget any good things that happen to us. I just want to remind all of you that being forgotten is worse than death. Especially when you forget people who love you.

I am now 86.3 kg.

Holiday

Friday, October 20th, 2006

2 more days and I’m going to rest my body and mind for just 1 day.

Although no classes will be present next week, that doesn’t mean I can just sit tight and have fun all day.

There are few tasks I must finish, such as Industrial Microbiology presentation, Tissue Culture paper about rose (help me out, please), Bioethics presentation, Fermentation Technology homeworks and report, and Enzyme analysis.

Quite a lot, huh?

Well, I should finish them all next week since I will be very busy in November.

Right now, I am anxious about NAMRU’s answer, I hope they would accept us.

I am 84.8 kg right now (Do I seem obsessed with my weight?).

Bara no Tameni

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Today my life felt like a story in a comic book.

I was very nervous about the rose that should be brought today since my group had only bought 5 stems with only a few stipulas.

When Achid called the florist, they sent the roses to Atma Pluit not Atma Semanggi. How shocking. Hahaha.

Today’s initiation took longer than I expected, but it was fun. The subculturing process was more interesting though. Hehehe.

Good luck for the next group who will do this module after their holiday. Hehehe. Enjoy your holiday while you can.

I am 85.2 kg.

A Pencil, a Book, and an Eraser

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Everyone has a pencil, a book, and an eraser in their life.

The pencil is used to write in other people’s book, but never in your own. The writings can be good or bad. The quality of the writings depends on the people hand and the pencil. Are they bold, italic, underlined, neat, weird. Everyone has their own style.

Now we know the function of the pencil and the book. But what about the eraser?

When a good things are written in their book, people will try to keep them. But, what happen when someone writes something bad in their book? People tend to erase them. That’s when they use the eraser. The quality is various. One can clean the writings well, one can only make it blur, and a bad eraser can even make the book dirtier. How bad….

Now, can you guess what these stationary kits represent?

You can give me your comments.

I am 84.4 kg.

The Trial of the Idiots

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

Feeling is something that is personal. Your feeling cannot be forced to somebody else. In this tale of the trial of the idiots, you’ll find a story of a few idiots trying to force their opinion. This story is still in accordance with my previous blog with the title "Chain of Humanity".

And so, after the Menore-Graneola case, the story didn’t just stop there. It grew bit by bit, word by word. As the nature of gossip, their story spreaded. Menore, who had known the pain of being backstabbed, told her friends not to hate the majority group. While Graneola and her friends kept being suspicious and hateful.

Feeling superior, the majority group often held a trial to judge any person who they thought had harmed any member of their group even if that person was a member of the group. Weird huh?

In the history of the trial, only 3 trials had been held. The first trial was held in the beginning of the court. The case was about an outsider with the name Rajab who doubted the capability of one male member of the major group whose name was Roide. He was enraged. He confronted Rajab. The rest of the group were unhappy too. They held the first trial. They even called the elders to attend their trial. Despite the name, the elders were also the same with the majority. The elders were the majority at their youth. And so, Rajab was thrown out of the city, exiled.

Rajab’s arrival at the city didn’t upset Roide alone, he disturbed most part of the community. So the community felt safe when the trial was held and Rajab being exiled. But it wouldn’t be long until they realized the true face of the trial.

The second trial was the most despicable one. The second trial dealt with the member of the group. In a group of people, of course it was not strange that there was a member who fell in love with the other member.

The second trial was to judge the deed of Anri. He was the object of a girl’s affection. The girl’s name was Mumta. Both were the member of the majority group.

Anri, having no feeling toward Mumta, always treat all the members equally. Of course, outside the group he had other friends. Mumta’s feeling was definitely known by the other member as her mouth were bigger than her brain. Her friends encouraged her to pursue her love. Anri was a kind person, yet indecisive.

One day, an old friend of Anri came to the gathering. She was a childhood friend of Anri. He was happy, extremely happy. He introduced her to most of her friends. And when it was time for his friend to go back, he gave her a nice cheek to cheek kiss. Mumta saw the kiss, she ran and cried.

The other group member became angry. They felt that Anri had hurt Mumta’s feeling and he must take the responsibility. How awful.

And so, the second trial was held. In that trial, Anri was devastated. Most of the jury were his friends, such as Roide, Caesar, and Hitsu. He was speechless when the jury read the verdict, stating he was guilty. Mumta was happy, she felt that her friends had helped her. From my point of view, her affection was not love, it was lust. How disgusting Mumta was. Anri who was kind at first became harsh and hateful toward Mumta. Pity.

Hearing the trials, Graneola was pleased. She intended to hold a trial to judge her archenemy, Menore. Menore, who was aware of the trial, tried to ask for help from her closest friend. She was prepared.

One day, in a bright and shiny morning, Menore’s house was knocked, or more exactly, banged. It was Roide and the gang. They captured Menore and brought her to the trial.

Menore was extremely terrified. She was accused of abandoning comrade and doing unpreferable deed. All the witnesses pushed Menore on the verge of her edge when suddenly she burst into rage. She hit the court table. She slammed the chairs. She was furious.

She opened all the shameful trial that the court had held. The members of the group’s faces were as red as chily. They were ashamed. The jury quickly adjourned the case and sent Menore home. They never called her again to the court.

And so, there goes another lesson from me. In life, you can’t judge a person because they don’t go with your opinion. In Mumta-Anri’s case, you’ll find out that feelings shall never be forced toward others. And in Menore’s case, you should already know that the truth is something that cannot be changed. Maybe your group is a majority, but the one and sole truth will always reside in the depth of your heart waiting to emerge one day.

Midterm Test

Sunday, October 8th, 2006

This semester is the worst.

A lot of unfathomable subjects, hard test, so many tasks, and we are still bothered with the internship programme.

I’m now 84,4 kg (well, at least I lost some grams).
